I learned that the was an allied force ( U.S., Great Britain, and the Soviet Union.) and the axis force ( Germany, Italy, and Japan.) were the two forces that were in the war. The U.S. didn’t get into the war until 1941 December 7th, when Pearl Harbor in Hawaii was attacked by the Japanese. WW II began with Germany invading Poland which made Britain mad. then Germany tried to invade the Soviet Union but they failed because of the long winter. However back in 1945 the U.S. were people building a cargo ship every day!

Karl Benz invented the first car in 1886. Henry Ford made cars at a decent price for the U.S. Cars used to be really expensive before Henry Ford. The first car cost $825. (In todays money that is $18,000). Henry Ford started the company Ford. So if you see Ford on cars you now know where it came from. In 1908 Ford made the first affordable car. Cars changed the world of transportation.
